Dairy. Is it healthy? Absolutely, it will make a 70 pound calf into a 700 pound cow in 7 months! So there is the answer, Yes, cow’s milk is healthy …. for baby cows. But not for us; in fact it’s actually quite dangerous. Dangerous? How could pizza, yogurt, or even ice cream be dangerous? It’s dangerous because it is so harmful that it leads to all kinds of disease, disabilities and/or death. But we are a tough species, we have encountered floods, fires, hurricanes, earthquakes, and various storms. But the real truth is; Animal Products are killing us….slowly but surely, because it takes time to build up cholesterol plaques and other disease processes. As a species seeking to survive during our evolutionary development we became instinctively ,to fat, salt and sugar as a means for survival. Of course, food was very scarce which is why we turned to eating animals, there was nothing else to eat. But now, with so much food in abundance we have now realized that consumption of animal products is quite dangerous. Earth has been around for about 4.5 Billion years, Homo sapiens for only 1 to 2 million years, our calendar is only a bit over 2000 years old. And when the Industrial Revolution (1760- 18400) came about that began the major change in the ‘standard of living’ for the general population began to increase consistently for the first time in history. And with the Industrial Revolution the food industry has taken it to extremes, turning our survival drives into suicide by food. The food industry has hijacked our brains by adding salt, fats, and sugar in various amounts, altering, adding and substituting junk that is tasty, slides down our esophagus, and makes us want more.
Mother Nature has made sure that calf will return to his or her mother by making sure cow’s milk contains Casein, a substance when metabolized becomes Casomorphine, a slightly addictive substance that has the calf going back for more. Casomorphine is a substance that stimulates the Dopamine neurotransmitter system; that’s the system that seeks pleasure over pain. It’s a very basic survival technique that actually is the driving force of life. It’s the mechanism that leads us to all addictions. That is the basis for our addiction to cheese and especially pizza with the added salt, sugar and fats. And that quality is exactly why pizza is so popular; in fact, brain imaging studies reveal that when you show a picture of pizza, the same area in the brain that lights up for heroin, lights up for pizza! Dr. Neal Barnard of The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine has labeled cheese as ‘Dairy Crack’!
But is milk and/or dairy really that bad. It is the food every calf needs; but what about us? We have been told that it’s what we need for calcium, your bones, your teeth, or your health. In fact, regarding personal health, it happens to be one of the most dangerous substances to put in your body. Evidenced based scientific facts and medical research has proven, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Dairy is one of the most harmful substances you can consume. For example; High levels of Saturated Fat; the kind of fat that leads to heart attacks and strokes due to the cholesterol plaques that it promotes in our blood vessels.
The dairy industry has been promoting dairy products for one purpose; money. And promotion by marketing has been the guiding light for dairy. The internet lists 75 advertising terms that have been used over the years to get us to consume the secretions from the breast milk of a totally different species Here are a few of the Dairy Industries marketing bylines: ‘All You Need Is Cheese, All You Need Is Milk, Are You Lactating? (Really?), Dairy Always A Good Choice, Dairy For Strong Bodies and For Strong Minds, EAT IT!, Dairy is Part Of A Balanced Diet, Got Milk?, It Does a Body Good (no it doesn’t), The Cows Want it Back. (actually a true statement), You Scream. I Scream. We All Scream For Ice Cream!
Are You Lactating Beyond Nutrition (What?) Got Milk, It Does a Body Good. (No it doesn’t), and The Cows Want it Back. As you can readily see, this is clearly a marketing strategy that has no connection with the truth. Dairy, in any and very form, is dangerous to our health, the animals, the earth, the water and the air. There is no benefit from eating Dairy.
