Dr. Ron is a plant-based sports medicine physician and psychiatrist who has 40 plus years of experience in the fields of psychiatry, sports medicine, and wellness programs. Developing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle has become exceedingly difficult in our society today; following his retirement from active practice he became an expert in the field of plant-based nutrition and lifestyle medicine. He became very active on Facebook as “Vegan Doc”, connecting the health aspects of ‘plant based’ nutrition, exercise, and stress management to the Vegan and Plant-based Communities. The basic tenet in the Plant Based Community is ‘personal health’ while the Vegan Community is based on ‘Animal Rights’ however both avoid eating animal products. Maintaining health for the Vegan Community is just as important as it is for the Plant Based community; Vegan Doc is that connecting link between the two.
