“Reality Bite!”
Reality Bite…..It’s the Food!!! Our diet can be many things to many different people. Eating is primary for our species; in other words, if you do not take in enough food to be used as energy to sustain life then you will die. That’s about as basic as it gets for most of us. In fact, it is so primary that a diet will incorporate a great deal of our time. A diet is what we watch, what we listen to, what we read, and what we consume; without a diet of quality food sources we will develop malfunctions, sicknesses, diseases, disabilities, and death. Today’s diet for most of Americans will contain excessive amounts of Salt, Sugar, and Fats; items that were necessary for sustainability when we had deficient food supplies however those days are long gone….. but let’s not forget them. With modern day cultures having an overabundance of food we have also taken in an overabundance of substances that have become harmful to us. There is no doubt that the excessive amounts of salt, sugar and fats have been identified as the primary culprits of our serious health issues today. 99% of the time mankind has been on Earth we have suffered from deficiencies; not surpluses. Our primary source of illnesses are a result of excess; due to mankind’s ability to capture, raise, kill, butcher, and sell animal products while making substances we eat being soft, smooth, slippery, and tasty by adding various chemicals, salts, sugars and excessive fats. All of this excess is leading to disease, disability, death and destruction. Yep, it’s the food!!! It’s time to subtract the salt, sugar and fat. Yep, it’s time! Stay healthy my friends. Vegan Doc
